Supporting LGBTQIA+ communities across Europe through empowered gatherings and community connection
We support LGBTQIA+ communities across Europe through two primary programs that directly enable gatherings and community building.
Gathering Underwriting
Organizing a gathering requires courage, vision, and resources. Many potential organizers are deterred by the financial risk of booking venues, securing accommodations, or covering upfront costs. This is where we step in.
Our approach is straightforward: organizers present us with a potential budget and outline of their proposed activity, along with a request for support. We assist with refining proposals, offer advice, and potentially underwrite the costs. This means we provide the financial backing to protect individual organizers from personal loss.
Underwriting is not a loan. There's no repayment with interest required. Instead, we ask only that any surplus revenue from the gathering be returned to support the benefit of other activities and future gatherings.
Protecting Organizers
Underwriting protects organizers from personal financial loss when booking venues or covering upfront costs for gatherings. This removes the barrier to participation and enables more diverse voices to organize.
How It Works
Submit Your Proposal
Share your gathering concept, outline, and budget with us. Tell us what you envision and how much support you need.
Refine Together
We review your proposal, offer feedback, and help refine the concept and budget. This collaborative process strengthens your planning.
Costs Underwritten
Once approved, we underwrite the costs, freeing you from personal financial risk. Any surplus from the gathering returns to us to support other activities.
The Travel Fund
Geography should not determine who can participate in our community. Yet the reality is that travel costs can be prohibitive for many LGBTQIA+ individuals, particularly those with limited financial resources.
Our Travel Fund addresses this barrier directly. When an individual's participation in a gathering has been accepted by the gathering organizers, but they lack funds to travel, we can provide financial assistance to cover their travel costs.
How the Travel Fund Works
A fixed sum is allocated to a trusted, named organizer who has agreed to distribute funds to those in greatest need. This localized approach ensures that resources reach those who need them most, based on organizers' deep knowledge of their communities.
Special International Provision
If funds allow, we make special provision for individuals traveling to Europe from areas within Africa and Asia, recognizing the particular financial barriers they may face.

What Happens at a Gathering
Our gatherings are a kind of spiritual playground — a place and space where we can be deeply free with ourselves and each other, the kind of environment that most of us queer folk have never had in either our childhood or adult lives.
The Heart Circle
The heart circle is central to every gathering. We sit in a circle and pass a special object from hand to hand. Whoever holds it has the full attention of the group — time to speak, to be quiet, to cry, to dance, or to simply be present.
No discussions arise, no rights or wrongs. What emerges is an intimate sharing — a space of discovery where, by hearing the diversity of what others bring, you find more threads of the complexity of feelings within yourself.
Rituals & Ceremony
At larger gatherings, we love to create rituals together. Someone brings up a theme and its meaning; others join in preparing their contribution. The preparation is often beautifully unpractical — nobody quite knows what happens when.
And that's where the magic begins: out of the chaos, the most deeply personal and emotional sharing unfolds, weaving together into something collectively beautiful.
The No-Talent Show
Fashion shows, no-talent shows, singalongs, mud walks, painting together, sharing skills in workshops — there are many things happening, but only as much as you take initiative. You don't need to be an expert to enjoy sharing.
The no-talent show is especially precious: just the courage to show something you truly love (or truly hate!) lets the beauty of every person shine through.
Personal Creativity
If there's something you want to do, something you want to show or let us hear — step forward and open up. There's space for every aspect of you at our gatherings. This is a place where camp, drag, and all forms of self-expression are celebrated alongside quiet contemplation and deep connection.
Community Support
Beyond our two primary programs, we actively support regional LGBTQIA+ initiatives across Europe. We partner with organizations like the Riverland Faeries in the Netherlands, providing resources and connections that strengthen grassroots community building.
We're committed to fostering solidarity with LGBTIQ communities in neighboring regions and beyond, recognizing that our strength lies in our connections and mutual support.
